Dream
2B Green was formed thanks to a European Social Fund grant. The
UK centre for Materials Education, based at Liverpool University, ran
the 'Women in Engineering' initiative which recruited unemployed
Merseyside women.
These
women, from many and varied backgrounds and cultures, were given
skills which enabled them to write a booklet, create a CD-ROM and website,
and to write and perform a play, with Critical Stage Company's
guidance.
The
play, and associated information, was performed in schools in the
Merseyside area, to help educate school children about recycling,
particularly of plastics.
